About Kiddies Daycare Centre

Kiddies Daycare is a family owned and operated Childcare Centre in Calgary. Our passion is to support our communities and working families by providing quality care to children aged 1-6 years. We combine a professional staff workforce, a fit-for-purpose learning environment, with a comprehensive, evidence-based, and innovative curriculum.

We provide a nurturing environment where each child is given a solid foundation for future learning and development. Our state-of-the-art facilities are specifically designed to ensure that children of all ages can enjoy a variety of activities in spacious, safe, and sustainable settings.

We deliver evidence-based curriculum and early educational programs that incorporate basic Christian principles and values designed to support your child’s mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual development. All our programs are designed to suit all age groups including infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers and are led by qualified and experienced staff who are committed to the individual needs and interests of children under our care.

The foundational lessons that children learn early in their life could influence the rest of their education and life. This view is supported by scriptures in Proverbs 22:6, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.”
A child gains confidence and self-esteem, develops good habits, builds character, and is happier learning in the right environment. When children are cherished, supported, and nurtured in mind, body and spirit, and, they will flourish and grow.
The childcare centre and the home are partners in this important work so that children can grow to be world-changers. We foster a family environment where every child, family, and staff member are respected and supported.

Our Childcare Philosophy

As a Christian-based childcare centre, we believe that God loves, cares for, and is interested in the growth and development of all children. We believe that every child is special and deserves to feel safe and supported. We hold strongly to God’s words in Jeremiah 29:11 that, “each child is a unique gift from God and that He has a perfect plan for each and every child.” As such, our desire is to nurture and cherish children through quality education, and to teach them about the loving God that created them.

We understand that a Child’s learning is dynamic, complex and holistic. This understanding is grounded in research which shows that the physical, social, emotional, personal, spiritual, creative, cognitive and linguistic aspects of learning are all intricately interwoven and interrelated. Therefore, we take a progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy which recognizes the connectedness of mind, body and spirit. Our approaches align with the evidence-based practices and provincial standards, and are designed to support children’s in all areas learning and development

We believe that each child should have opportunities to learn and play in an environment that can maximize their potential, and which in turn provides a solid foundation for their development and well-being. Our curriculum, programs, learning and play environments are evidence-based, and are carefully designed to create a stimulating environment that is appropriate for a child’s developmental needs. By using activities, materials, and experiences that encourage exploration, curiosity, and problem-solving, we aim to discover and encourage their creative expressions.

While we care for your child, we take the view that children develop better in environments where relationships begin in the home. This is why we prioritize our collaboration with parents. The continuity between home and our centre helps to ensure the optimum growth and development of each child.

We believe that our workforce is critical in providing quality services and maintaining a stable learning environment for the children under our care. Hence, all our staff are required to have foundational knowledge of child development and also have formal education and training in early childhood education. In addition, our staff are trained to deliver programs and curriculum activities that facilitate and expand the individual child’s interest with materials and activities.
